The Consumer Advisory Council at the Human Development Institute (HDI) is made up of self-advocates, family members, and professionals who provide valuable knowledge and guidance to HDI in its work to increase life opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Members are chosen and selected by a nominating committee and submitted to the full Council for vote/approval to join the Council. Members are approved for a three (3) year term, not to exceed two (2) consecutive terms.

Terms are for three years each. If selected by the nominating committee, you will be contacted by phone to seek your interest in serving and to obtain necessary background information. There also will be a chance for you to ask questions about the CAC.
